There's this cozy spot I frequent that serves consistently delicious food in a family atmosphere with a wonderful staff that always makes me feel welcome. It's become my go-to place whenever I want to treat my mother-in-law to her favorite dishes. Despite the 45-minute wait in line, the generous portions of soul food, including an entree, 2-3 sides, dessert, and a drink at a reasonable price, make it worth every minute. With a variety of flavorful options like peppered beef over rice, mac and cheese, and yams, it's no wonder why this place has earned its reputation as the best soul food joint in Dallas.

I went here after hearing it was delicious only to have the worst experience of my life!! First of all the menu did not have a lot of choices, and I ordered what was supposed to be smothered ribs, the gravy was horrible, tasted like flour and salt, secondly the greens and sweet potatoes came straight out of can!!!!! O.M.G!!!! I thought the person who raved about how delicious this place's food was, clearly cannot cook!!!! I would not recommend this place to anyone!
