There's a fantastic option for breakfast just a short walk from the truck stop, and it's definitely worth the trek, even in the heat. The chilaquiles and huevos con chorizo are both incredible dishes that you won't want to miss. To discover it, just drive into the chrome shop parking lot; it may not seem like a restaurant at first glance, but you'll be pleasantly surprised once you enter the gates.
