A co-worker and I ordered a grilled chicken salad onion rings and cheesy chicken with carrots and cream spinach. After waiting for 45 minutes for our order we asked how much longer since we only get 1 hour lunch. Her response was with an awful look on her face she said "it will be ready when its ready". After another 10 minutes I went up to counter asked to make it to go since our hour was up and she said "yeah whatever" and practically threw our bag of food on the table and mumbled something under her breath again the most awful look ever as she walked away. I will say there was nobody in the café when we walked in and the cook had 2 burgers on the grill almost done melting the cheese. No excuse for the rudeness. Wish I had just asked for our money back because I will never spend another penny there and neither will my co-workers.

I was surprised by the negative review below. I lived in Benbrook recently for about 3 years and the Benbrook Grill was a regular stop for us. We never had a problem with the service.
In fact, we go out of our way to go back at times just to experience their onion rings again. Delicious.
The fried catfish is made of awesome also. :)

Boy! Glad I wasn't there the 5th of Feb! I've been in several times and have always been treated fine. I fact, I would even accept some rough treatment to get those onion rings again! Spectacular! Great burger as well! Another time was after church one Sunday with 5 adults and 3 kids! There were several other large groups there as well. Just seemed like everyone was chowin' down on some great food! Really good CF Steak! Really good sides! I highly recommend it! No! I'm not the owner! Don't even own stock!

I am the owner of the restaurant. The previous review was placed by a guest who was beligerant and insulting to my staff over a mistake on his order. He did not give us any opportunity to correct the problem before launching into a hateful rant. The cashier did not "argue" about taking the onions off the burger, but offered a new bun without onions so the guest would not have to wait for the burger to be recooked. We did also offer to recook the burger but by that time he was yelling and demanding his money back. He was disrupting our other guests so my cashier refunded his money and explained to him that his threat to "never come back" was not such a bad idea.

I just left the Benbrook Grill and will never return.
This afternoon my family and I went to the Benbrook Grill for the first time since the name changed. When we arrived it took a few minutes for my wife and son to decide what they wanted. Even though we were the only customers in the restaurant, the lady who took our order was impatient and threw up her arms while saying "take your time" in a cynical tone, I almost turned around and left, and in hind sight I wished that I had left.
I ordered a burger with no pickles or onions. When the burger arrived it had onions. I took it to the counter and told another lady that I had ordered no pickles or onions but the burger had onions on it. She turned around to hand it to the cook as I tried to explain that I am allergic to onions and simply scraping off the onions could still cause problems for me. She was unpleasant from the start and said I could get a new bun even though the ticket said no pickles and didn't mention onions. I told her I needed a whole new burger including meat because the onions had been on the meat. She argued that the onions had only been on the bun and I didn't need another burger. At that point I asked for a refund. She became belligerent, raised her voice and said that I could get a refund and they would make me another burger. I couldn't believe I was being treated so rudely for their mistake and told her I would take the refund and never come back. She said that was fine since no one could make me happy even though they tried. I left with my wife and son before they could eat their meals and did not ask for a refund for their food; for which I was laughed at the employee.
I am amazed a business would treat a customer like this. There is no shortage of good places to eat that are staffed by people who appreciate their customers.
