The barbecue is really good, but the french fries are phenomenal.
The atmosphere is like a 1970's Bonanza gone mad.
Tasty and affordable.

3 guys from out of state found this "BBQ restaurant", the BBQ Barn, which it is a place that looks like a barn, but the term BBQ shouldn't be used in the same sentence with the food the BBQ Barn serves......Yankee’s say they are going to BBQ when they are actually "grilling out" and they are closer to "BBQ" than the BBQ Barn is to BBQ.
We ordered 3 brisket meals w/beans and Mac n cheese, etc. & 3 teas changed to fountain drinks. About 13 bucks each is what we paid. We also had 2 regulars behind us waiting to order their "food" that swore up and down that this is the best BBQ in Dallas....they don't know what they are talking about....they also think that the Mac Rib from McDonalds is real BBQ ribs?
The brisket tasted like day old, bad roast beef; the sauce made it worse; the beans were half cooked and crunchy; the Mac n cheese had to be a few days old & everything was about room temp. The tea was sour and the carb/syrup mixture on the fountain drinks.....was way off.
I had to give the food and value a 1 because there isn't a negative number on the scale. The good thing was that the owner politely refunded all our money.
Do you have to ask if we'll be back?
