The place is terrible, no doubt about it. They're lucky they are the only place that takes a credit card and delivers to my area. At least, those that I know of.
Not only is the food quite disgusting, but the service is awful to the point where it's a shame. (It does nothing but make me laugh, though)
I remember one day, I ordered some food from there, and I just couldn't stay home to pick it up. See, a family emergency came up, and I had to hurry to the hospital. Five minutes after I hung up from New York Pizza, I DECIDED to call them back and cancel the order. I shouldn't have. Heh, the guy who answers at first tries to convince me to stay home and wait. "The food is almost ready! Five more minute. Five more minute." I tell him, "I can't, I have to go somewhere. I won't be able to wait for the food." Can you believe this FOOL said, "Where you going? Where you going that can't wait five minute? Is not that important." Then he went rambling on about some insults.
If you want to prank call the place, I say go right ahead, you're bound for some entertainment, but as for actual food and service, I say 'run for the hills'!

I was once a regular customer of NY Pizza Co. But due to a horrible experience with a manager today, I will not be ordering from the business again. Not only did the manager have an awful attitude with me over the phone, but actually refused to give me his name. He said that I did not need his name and he hung up the phone. When I called back to ask for his name, each phone call was immediately placed on-hold and then promptly hung up. I made countless calls to get his name with the same result. Finally an employee, answered and told me that she could not give out his name. I said, "you aren't allowed to give out his name?" and she than said that his name was Big G and that she did not know his "real" name. I asked her to ask if anyone else knew the name and after placing me on hold, she reported that no one knows his name. I asked her if he was the owner and she said she did not know, than when I refused to believe that she did not know who she reported to, she than added that she never saw anyone else around.
So either your establishment is run by an incompetent and very rude man called Big G or this was all some huge lie to cover the real managers behind. I have never experienced such poor service in my life and to be completely honest your food is simply not good enough to expect people to put up with such poor treatment. (he actually said, "do you want the food or not?" as if is was some huge threat! Or for that matter, as if I would take food prepared by him after seeing his attitude.) And if "Big G' is actually the manager & owner, than I hope you are reading this now, because this is just the beginning of my efforts to complain about NY Pizza Co. I will be certain to make negative comments about NY Pizza Co on any and every website or place that I can and I will be certain to tell all of my friends and family to avoid NY Pizza Co at all costs!

Years before this place was fantastic. The service was great, your food was hot and the people were friendly. I don't know what happened this year. This is my 3rd order and all three times it was dellivered late (1hour and 30 min). They are on 14th & Penn. Ave., and I am at 12th & M. Two streets down. The first two orders where subs with Mayo. You can't warm up Mayo! This LAST time it was roasted chicken. Again, cold. At least I can warm it up. Maybe service in house is great but they won't have to worry about me asking for delievery. I could have walked there faster than they drove here. No more recommendations from me.
