great food
05/27/2007 - disappointed diner
down. Popovers were good, but too busy (cheese, butter and a giant salt shaker). The crab appetizer tasted like nothing, the steak tasted like grill and the fish was bland. The dessert special tasted good, but an attempt at whimsy was poorly executed.
The atmosphere left much to be desired - think lots of leathery 45-year-old cleavage and silver chest hair spilling from half-buttoned shirts.
There are at least a dozen restaurants in DC where one can get similar cuisine, that actually tastes good, for similar prices (or cheaper).
