The owner of this restaurant is amazing and very accommodating to food allergies, making it a great choice for kids. The food is consistently delicious and not greasy, with options like saag paneer, aloo Gobi, and Tikka masala being favorites. I love ordering takeout from here as they always have my food ready when I arrive, and the staff is incredibly kind and helpful.

I had been to this place on 07/14 and was surprised that there were only 2 tables filled at 1.30 PM and until 2.30 PM ( the time I left) I later sensed that may be because of the bad tasting food. Food being oily can be found on roti's or dosa's but I wonder how rice, the "plain white rice" could be oily and I think they added something to the white rice so that the consumption would be less, the same was on briyani that after 1/2 spoon I could not eat anymore. The outside rate board mentioned as $8.99 while the rate charged was for $11.99 they could have mentioned the same on the board as well. When I asked them to change it they ignored it. Atleast they could have served a $11.99 worth food but that was also poor. The pani puri water had something that it tasted so so bad not even close to the one that used to be made from (Ready make (Pani)water) and there were flies on the food (Raita, chutney, salad, pani puri section). My wife had a bad stomach after eating there. Because of such bad Indian restaurants some good ones are also getting affected. The only thing that tasted good was rice pudding, rest all are so bad that its not worth for even a single visit.

We moved to the area the spring of 09 and started to look for an Indian restaurant. We tried several in the area. We we initially turned off by the outside appearance. My wife complained, you're going to drag me in here?
Once she tasted the food on the buffet our search was over. We go to the evening buffets because of the wide selection of favorites. The food is refreshed frequently and I love the mango pudding desert.
There is always a selection of northern and southern dishes available. It is a BYOB which adds to the appeal. The staff is friendly and commented on my improved health when I appeared without crutches. Our son is also fond of Indian cooking. So fond that we had the rehearsal diner for his wedding in an Indian restaurant.
We consider this restaurant a family resource there have been as they say many happy returns

Best Indian restaurant in Delaware, and we have been to them all! Staff is wonderful, service is quick and the food is amazing. The buffet is okay, but not spicy enough. The best dish is the eggplant. They have a liquor license, but you can still BYOB.

Our favorite Indian restaurant in the area. We have been dining here for many years. The food is always delicious, cooked and seasoned beautifully. The staff has always treated us very well, quietly helpful. I encourage you to try this jewel of a restaurant. The atmosphere is okay, the food is amazing.

Had the lunch buffet and thought it was delicious! Staff constantly filled drinks and took away the dirty plates. Several large chafing dishes of entrees (~10) were available and each was tasty. The ambiance was a little tired but can be overlooked. I will definitely go again.

We think the food is very good at this restaurant, and we especially enjoy the buffets. We have been there many times. The staff is pleasant, if at times a bit slow with drinks. It would be nice if they had a selection of hot teas rather than only chai latte. They don't have a liquor license, unfortunately.

Worst service, specially the buffet lunch, impatient staff, please dont ever go for buffets at Maharaja, we had a horrible experience recently, and have decided never to go there again
