We love it there

My husband ordered the meatloaf and it was horrible. He had to oder a hamburger.
The lady who seated us came to take dirty plates & didn't ask if we was done or say excuse me. Didn't say thank you come again. Management didn't even come over to ask about the meatloaf. Rude place.

This place has completely gone done hill in the last six months. Everything from food, service, and staff friendliness. I will never return. Pretty disappointing

Staff doesn't care anymore. Food was ok but not great. The bar staff isn't as friendly as it use to be. I probably won't return because we didn't feel welcome like we use to.

I am picky. So...loved the food and our server. We were there week of 6/9/13.A bad server can ruin a dining experience Don't remember our servers name, but she was with child Restaurant should give her a well-done! Loved it.

My family and I get to go food here all the time. We love it. They don't take reservations. The review from C Kelly couldn't be any farther from the truth. I eat there once every couple weeks. Steamed shrimp is the best you will ever have

they dont answer their phone---cant make a reservation and cant order to go. cant be bothered

Went to Shuckers last night for a little happy hour. Wow what a great menu and draft selection. Around twenty great beers on tap. The bartender Strome was very knowledgeable about the beers and menu. On top of that we couldn't of felt anymore welcomed if we were all family. He introduced us to some of the regular customers and we felt like we have been going there for years. Food was great, best wings and shrimp in town. My wife had the mixed field greens salad and she loved it so much I had to try to make it today at home. TVs everywhere so I'm sure its a great place to watch football. I didn't try it but apparently you can bet on football there through the Delaware lottery. Next time we are in Delaware we will be back or you can just come open a Shuckers in Lancaster PA.

as others said, we decided to give them another
chance. (new owner) Glad we did. The raw oysters were small bit tasty. Fried oysters
were not frying size but good. like to see
bigger size. Service excellent. Early decided specials lots of choices. Will be there again

Wife and I were there for supper on Thursday. I had the meat loaf that was out of sight and my wife had the sirloin burger made to her liking. Both of the meals were very very good, plus I made some bets on football........Keep up the good work everyone! Would be great to see oyster night 50 cent each verus the Friday special of $1 each....Thanks for your time see you soon!

We decided to give Shuckers another chance and we are very happy we did! Shuckers is under new ownership. They have a new menu and the food is better. It's like night and day difference. I ordered blackened tuna and it was wonderful. My wife ordered the blackened scallop dinner, it was so good. The presentation was great, so I didn't know if she should eat it or just look at it. As good as it looked, it tasted even better. Service was great. Started at the bar and moved to a table. Bartenders were Funny and the waitress couldn't of been nicer. They made a change to the bar. Wasn't sure how I felt about this, but it was packed. So I guess it was a good idea. We will return often keep up the great turnaround!

The people who have written poor reviews for JD Shucker's are either lifelong complainers or crybabies. I live in Northern VA, but my mom lives in Lewes, and we go here 6 or 7 times a year. It's off the beaten path, which helps keep some of the tourists away in summer, but the locals do crowd in, and they know what's good! Rawbar is excellent (big, fresh topneck clams, not the wimpy little cherrystones that pass for rawbar in DC). Wonderful oysters and spiced shrimp too. They have an excellent seafood bisque, and I've never had a bad entree...scallops, lobster, salmon, mahi. Pastas are also delicious. I've always had excellent service too. We love this place, and that's being said having been to almost every seafood restaurant in Lewes and Rehoboth. Don't let the out of town snobs throw you.

oysters good but would like to be able to enjoy people at my table, music is not conducive to enjoying company of friends or dinner

Had a great time!! Bartenders were awesome! I felt like a local. There introduced me to everyone. Those two guys are the best Bartenders and hard workers. They didn't miss a beat, and still had time to entertain everyone. The wings and rare tuna were great to. If you find yourself driving by you must stop in. Can't wait to go back, I just wish I didn't live so far away. Thanks

Terrible service, over priced food. Avoid if you can.

I had a girls weekend and decided to take the 9 women to Shuckers. I stopped in earlier that day to ask if they could accommodate us and what time would be good for them. We came back ready for dinner, was told it would be a 30 minute wait which turned into an hour and 15 min wait. I normally wouldn't mind if that is what we were told but we were told a 30 min wait and wasn't even asked if we wanted two tables or that it would be longer, to top it off I had my PREGNANT, very hungry daughter-in-law with us. Your customer service sucks, and for you to just walk by and not even make eye contact or let us know what was going on is just bad business. I don't recommend this place when there are so many other great places. We went to Serendipity and our service was top notch.

Poor, Poor experience. Food for nine was not hot and nothing to write home about. Service was bad and you would think it is their first week of operation. We are local and will not try it again

I recently had my rehearsal dinner at Shuckers. The room upstairs is wonderful for a private party. There is a private bar where guests can gather around, the tables were set very nicely with linens and candles. I worked with the onsite event planner, and she helped me pick out an affordable menu. Food was great and I think everyone had a great time. I would highly recommend Shuckers for any private party.

My family took my uncle to this restaurant for his birthday. I was a horrible experience. We could not talk to each other because they had live entertainment and the music was incredibly loud. I ordered the 10 oz sirloin which was fatty. My mother ordered the fillet well done and it came bloody. My cousin's beans were wimpy and over cooked. We ordered 4 cups of coffee and unbeknownst to us --- they cost $2 per cup!! And the coffee tasted like it sat for several before serving. My aunt ordered a Kahlua and cream which cost $9. The restaurant is overpriced and the quality of food is sub-par. I live in New Jersey and traveled 127 miles to eat at this restaurant. What a mistake. I will never return to this place again.

My husband and I loved this place! We had a great lobster dinner special and a delicious Asian style spinach salad. The prices were very affordable (low!) Plus we had great drinks. The service was terrific. The live music made for a great time - we even made friends with the people at the next table. We look forward to returning.

after asking about an on line menu---and finding none, I asked the hostess to read me the menu so I could select food for our family as take out. She walked away from the phone and I heard her distinctly say--"Heres an idea, why dont you get your fat -ss in here and read it yourself. " I will never eat at that restaurant again- nor my entire family.

Good food, good service. Everyone is friendly. Great place to have drinks and watch sports. Happy hour and early bird specials are worthwhile. Keep the guys at the bar, but add one or two lady bartenders.

For the most part our food was very good, however my sister ordered tuna on a salad (as well as my daughter). My sister's tuna had a metallic taste and she returned 2 of the three, 1 X 3 inch strips to the kitchen and asked that the tuna cost be removed from the bill. The 'CHEF' refused to do so because most of the SALAD was eaten that the tuna was on. This is POOR business!
It is rather a noisy atmosphere as well.
We will need to think about returning...
