During a recent visit to Des Moines, I stopped by Classic Frozen Custard and enjoyed a banana peanut butter malt that was thick, creamy, and filled with fresh banana slices and frozen peanut butter chunks. The menu offers classic custard flavors with generous portions at reasonable prices, and while the exterior looks a bit worn, the quality of the custard more than makes up for it. They operate with walk-up and drive-thru service only, which is convenient, especially since the custard melts quickly if not eaten promptly.
