My recent stay at a hotel in Dearborn, arranged by my wife who is familiar with the area, had a classic ambiance and friendly staff. The location along the Detroit River provided a picturesque view, but I was disappointed by the late check-in policy despite the helpful staff and decent pricing.

My TV or Air condition did not work. Customer service was sadly poor. Dirty bathroom and carpet. My deposit was not returned as stated. they don't answer the desk phone. Lights in the room did not work. Janell is the only staff that seemed to care. I am still waiting on a manager to return my call but I continue to get the run around.

Looks as if conditions at this hotel has not gotten any better in 5 years! When we stayed there 2012, the cream for coffee in the room was curdled, the bedding and floors were dusty and dirty, the glasses were filthy. The shower drain had hair in it! The Lobby was very unattractive with old raggedy cardboard boxes, dying potted plant all in plain view! The room service, if they bothered, was horrible, very slow and very unprofessional! I vowed to never stay there again! They have not improved, based on the many reviews I've read here!!
