Back in 1968 I was treated to my first pizza at Sammy's Pizza in Superior Wisc. I had eaten homemade Jenos pizza but not town pizza. Thought I'd died and gone to heaven. However it was a few years later that I found a delivery pizza place on 1st street. SAMMYS PIZZA. A return to heaven! One of my dates treated me to pizza( I was a poor student nurse) and I could not believe how good pizza tasted in the morning before work . Wow. I have done a little traveling here and there and I still maintain my love for pizza. But....Sammy's Pizza is the best. I tried to duplicate their crust and had no success. I can make a good Pizza but not great. We were at Sammy's in Hermantown yesterday. Ordered 2 med pizzas to take home. My husband started eating pizza a little while after we got home. My 4 year old granddaughter ate 5 pieces. My son smiled and said great pizza. I ate my share and thought I'd die and gone to heaven! Thank you Sammy's! Great pizza!
