Moxies brought back some good memories after a long time, with Amber enjoying her beef dip (minus the onions and cheese) and me opting for the beef vindaloo, which was milder than I expected but still satisfying. The drinks were a highlight, especially the bellini and smoked old fashioned, and the manager, Sam, went above and beyond by compensating us for a few order mix-ups and providing complimentary dessert. On a separate visit during Happy Hour, the atmosphere was lively with plenty of seating, the fish tacos and tuna poke stood out, and the staff was attentive enough to get us in and out quickly, making for an overall enjoyable experience despite a minor issue with the washroom cleanliness.

Amber and I decided to give Moxies another shot after a cooling experience in Calgary. It had been years since we last visited, but the food was pretty good overall. Amber went for the beef dip, minus the onions and cheese, while I opted for the beef vindaloo - a bit less spicy than I remembered. Sam, the manager, saved the day with his excellent service, comping our meals and treating us to dessert after a few hiccups with our orders. The vibes were great, and we left feeling very pleased - we'll definitely be back for more!
