The dining experience was pleasant, but there is room for improvement. Having a friendly and attentive waiter or waitress would enhance the overall enjoyment. However, I found the prices to be on the higher side for what was offered.

We have eaten here several times over the past few years. This year we have noticed that the service is TERRIBLE. We had to wait up to 20 minutes between placing our drink order and receiving our drinks. Our entrees arrived without the sides and another 20 minute wait before sides were received. The restaurant was not full, by any means, and our waitress was not to be seen. That being said, the steaks are excellent....too bad the overall experience is sub par. This is the second visit within several months and service went from bad to worse.

Made reservation for our anniversary - terribly disappointed. Upon arrival, we were seated and given menus. Our server arrived to tell us what they did not have that evening, i.e. Lobster Bisque and Lobster Bolognese. Fine. She left to get our drinks while we reviewed the menu. Upon her return, we proceeded to try to order. When ordering the shrimp and crab meat appetizer, we were told that it was not available - the seafood was still frozen. Our reservation was at 7pm for goodness sake. My husband ordered the beef wellington, at which point the waitress told him it came medium rare. He advised that he wanted it medium to medium well. He was told what an inconvenience that was and it would take an additional 30 minute cook time. Fine, no problem - we were not in a hurry. We were served our appetizer and soup almost instantaneously and, before we were done with our soup, the server literally pushed it out of the way for our entrees. Upon cutting into the beef wellington, my husband noted that not only was the meat not the cut noted in the menu, the pastry was raw on the inside. This was brought to our server's attention as it was not edible and he asked for the special that night, a steak with tempura shrimp and blue cheese mashed potatoes. By the time his dinner arrived, my dinner was done. The "medium" steak was a piece of burnt shoe leather and the blue cheese mashed were not edible. He asked the dinner be boxed since it didn't matter at that point anyway and we were anticipating ordering dessert when the check was thrust under my husband's nose with the statement that well, we're not charging you for the 2nd glass of wine..........Completely disappointed with the evening. Did I mention it was our anniversary? We have dined at this restaurant before the change to Sensory 3 took place. Since the switch back to La Bonne Vie, it is just pathetic. the service, food and atmosphere were not what you would expect from a restaurant that is supposed to be fine dining.
