The atmosphere at El Tap is cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. The food is delicious, with fresh ingredients and generous portions that will leave you satisfied and coming back for more.

This resaurant has great food, but only when they get your order right, which happens rarely. At best they are 50/50. you order something without beans -- you get beans and it has to be sent back. You order chicken--- you get beef.... etc. etc. not sure what there issue is and why they cant seem to get an order done correctly. I've started going to Sol Azteca Mexican restaurant lately. They havent messed up a single order yet.

Food and service is great!!! For the quality and friendly attentive service they can't be beat...and their prices are ever so reasonable! We love their lunch special for $5.95 during the week which also included a beverage and all the fresh chips & and fresh made salsa you want... 😎

My husband and I have driven out to Cottage Grove from Eugene several times to have dinner at El Tapatio and have always enjoyed eating there. However, last night we ate there and found ourselves both ill and him vomiting in the early morning hours. I called the next day simply to inform them because I thought it was the right thing to do - the restaurant should be aware so they could take precautions to make sure that no one else gets sick. The manager, Margarita, was not in the first 2 times I called so I left our number for her to call back. She did call back and after I told her what happened, she immediately went into defense mode and talked so quickly I couldn't even get a word in. She also said that there was a virus going around and several of her employees were sick. I finally gave up talking to her and hung up. I thought about it and called back a little while later. I wanted to explain to her that we were not looking for anything-no refund--nothing--just SIMPLY wanted her to know so she could take precautions if needed. She was very unfriendly and hung up. What a poor manager!!!!!!!!! I hope the owner of this restaurant reads this. Maybe they need to hire someone with good customer skills??? Things that make you go hmmm.....
