We were excited to try out the Dapper Pig. We have a group of family members who meet for dinner on Wednesdays. Our first impression was positive thanks to our excellent server. We sat upstairs and enjoyed the dí©cor. I ordered the roasted chicken which was so dry I ate very little. Others in our group enjoyed the Shrimp & Grits & Creole Pasta. Another in our group had the smoked pork chop & it was just as dry as the chicken. The end of the meal is when everything went downhill. Two in our group had a double shot of Scotch. When we were given our bills the price of said drink was $26.00!!!!! The amount of alcohol was only 2 1/2 ounces. When one of the men approached the bartender about the cost of the drink he was met with the answer of that is the price. To say the least the cost was not reduced. I think this is the worst price gouging I have ever encountered. We will not return! The owners need to know that word of mouth will hurt their business. Believe me we will not give positive reviews to our friends!

Tried this for the first time with a group of friends and won't be heading back or recommending it to anyone else. There were 6 of us dining and while placing our orders, found out that they were OUT of roasted chicken dinner which is one of the main entrees on the menu. They apparently over prepare 6 dinners (yeah, a restaurant that only prepared 3 chickens cut in half for 6 dinners). What the heck??!! So while ordering, 4 of us asked for that and the last person was told they were out. They recommended the appetizer 8 chicken wings so that is what she ordered along with two sides. Of course, they WOULD NOT price her dinner as they should have ....like the 1/2 roasted chicken. Instead they charged her for everything separately. She had no alcohol, did have a cup of coffee and dessert but her bill was $42!!!! The appetizer of the cheese plate for $11.99 had 4 thin slices of bread, a tiny cup of grapes, several squares of two different cheeses and pickled onions and radishes. No thanks! Definitely not impressed with this either!! The bread pudding one of us ordered for dessert was horribly dry and inedible. Overall, EXTREMELY OVERPRICED for what you get.
No thanks...won't be back. On the positive side, our server was excellent!

My husband and I went today (on a Sunday) for brunch with out 1 year old. It was just what we were looking for. Since leaving Louisville we have missed the independent local places to eat. Farm to table is my favorite and that is what we found here. The atmosphere is quirky and fun. Our server was so polite and engaging (which is another feature of Louisville we have been missing). The food was pretty good. I had the bacon burger which was good but could be seasoned a little, the handcut fries were awesome, not too geary and just enough salt. My husband had the daper Benedict and the fried green tomatoes were amazing (this should be an appetizer). My daughter had a grilled cheese and I loved the bread it was on. I hope you will try it out for yourself and support the business. We need more places like this to enhance the diversity in Evansville.

My husband and I went with 2 other couples for the first time. We had reservations and were seated pretty quickly, but we were almost ready to leave before a waitress finally came to our table. Our confusion started with the menu. Entrees listed as a la carte were pretty pricey. Our waitress explained that these 4 entrees came with 2 sides. This is not the definition of a la carte. One person in our party ordered a dinner spinach salad and it was delivered with the bread basket we ordered for our table to share. At $5.99 for 7 slices of thin bread, we were again very disappointed. Really, 7 slices of ordinary bread for $5.99?? Another member of our group ordered the pork chop and although it was tasty, almost half of the portion was fat or bone. My husband and I split the roasted chicken and 2 sides. He had a coke and I had water and our bill was $25 which included the tip. Our group will not be returning.

Waited 15 minutes outside while food servers rushed past us through the only door into the place on a very small concrete porch. No place to stand where you are not in the way. Finally got in and got a table, waited over an hour for our food with little attention from the server. Ordered coffee and was told they were out (seriously? How do you run out of coffee?). Would not recommend.
