I went to The Press for lunch yesterday. It was my first visit. I had one of the specials: Fried clam. Boy, was it special. I ended up with food poisoning. I became violently sick with vomiting and diarrhea during the evening. It lasted through the evening and into the night. I called the restaurant the next day and they blew it off, telling me that food poisoning takes 24 to 48 hours to incubate. I was told that I probably had the stomach flu. Shellfish poisoning manifests within hours. I will never go back.

The restaurant replied to my review on Google rudely.

It's a bar that serves food. Small, dark, 0 atmosphere . Maybe 6 tables. $16 for pork tenderloin dinner w/salad, served with plastic knife and fork. Tenderloin good but vegetables so heavily seasoned w/ garlic as to be almost inedible. Very limited menu. Expensive for what you get.
