Great food! My favs are the Sweet Chili Tacos and Sweet Chili Wings! Their salad is huge! Monday burger specials are awesome!

I went there four times since the new ownership as it used to be my favorite place when it was zigzag scallops. Not once in four times. Did they get my order correct.

This was our first time here under the new owners.Food was excellent, Our server Savannah was great.We definitely will be back and would recommend this restaurant.Everything was cooked properly and served by a pleasant staff member Savannah.First impressions,we found a place that’s hidden in Hernando Beach and well worth looking into .

Went there today at 1:30pm
The service was fine but I either suggest that you provide a beer and speciality drink menu. They did not have the beer type we normally drink which was fine but we had to ask what type of beer choices they had. They offered no wine or speciality drinks menu so when I asked for a specific drink (mojito) it was not a drink they offered.
The crab cakes were great, but the scallops were very small and undercooked for the price.
Great location and we can see how the outside venue will be a hit with music playing.

We were there on Thursday, our server Red was awesome and super friendly an gave us some great ideas of places to visit while we were on vacation. It's definitely a place ill come again. The food was amazing and so worth the wait, plus who would complain about all you can eat crab legs anyways. Thank you so much for such a great experience. Great music by the way.

Please note Im not an isolated incident. There were good google reviews and there were other bad reviews not related to rude staff but other things. The last few are reviews on their Facebook page. Then there are a ton of negative on Yelp as well.

Today we went to Lei-Lo Tiki Hut "On The Water" also known as just Lei-Lo Tiki hut. It is the new owners who purchased Zig Zag Scallop! We were so excited to try them today. I am writing this review because I was so appalled and am still on disbelief of their unprofessionalism.

I had the literal worst experience here today.

I'd like to start off by mentioning their shiesty lack of menus. On their Facebook page they show 2 menus that are available. When we asked the waitress Ashley H if there was that other menu. She said no but started listing off a slew of items that were not on our menu with no mention of prices. NO big deal. Everything was still great. This is the ending to the best part of our experience.

On their Facebook page they have a picture posted of a sign that says: Daily special French scallops w/ 2 sides. I asked her about it and she said they do still have it (although not on the menu(s) nor was the sign from Facebook page on display anywhere)

I ordered the cup of lobster bisque (although not on menu - what I really wanted was their corn and crab chowder that is on their menu but they didnt have it), French scallops with garlic mashed potatoes and the coldslaw (coldslaw for my coldslaw loving husband) - want to just mention my mom ordered the coldslaw as her side to her fried shrimp basket (she's also a lover of coldslaw) - you should have saw their grossed out faces of each of them when they their 1st bites. The both said it was terrible and that they never had a coldslaw like that bad in their lives.

So my bisque was not hot and lacked in flavor. My mashed potatoes were ice cold, lumpy and flavorless.. there was not a lick of garlic to be found in them anywhere. The scallops were cooked terribly. The scallops and the sauce they were broiled in (yes Broiled in) were cold - how can that even be possible? The scallops were over cooked and as I was chewing one of them it actually crunched in my mouth and I had to spit it out.

Now I am a person who usually speaks right out - Who will complain when there is a problem like this immediately. But for today I was practicing kindness, patience and was trying to have a peaceful lunch and make the best of the situation.

I was tired from working all week - my husband got off a little early, so I got off a little early - the 3 kids were in school - this never happens! My husband was enjoying his crab cakes, my mom was enjoying her fried shrimp basket - I didn't want to dull the mood or create stress! They both knew I was not happy with the meal at all. I just picked at the mashed potatoes and occasionally would take a spoon of the soup. I was disappointed but was choking it up to me making a bad selection! Things were still great! I was okay!

So we are now all done and had to go inside to find waitress to retrieve the check. I almost died... $30 for my French scallops, mashed potatoes and coldslaw!! I told the waitress Ashley H - "I am not paying $30 for my scallop meal" - I explained everything and said I wasn't trying to be a complainer but I will not pay $30 for it". My meal wasn't even mediocre- it literally was terrible!!!! So she says "I wish you would have told me and I would have fixed it" - I explained that I didn't want to complain, I didn't want to give her added work and that I was just going with it all. I told her "my food is still outside on the table, Mine is not even half eaten - I think it came with 5 scallops and 3 were still out there not even touched and half the potatoes were still there. My soup (cup for $4.95) didn't even have a dent in it (although I never even told them about my thoughts on the bisque or my husband & mom's thoughts on the coldslaw - cause again I was just trying to unwind and be easy going but would not pay $30 for my meal.

Waitress Ashley H says "well I'll discount it but I will not comp it 100%".

(Typically with a tone like that and that statement the way she said it - I'd then insist to not pay for any of it. But I dint want tensions - I didn't want to stress my husband out)

So I responded "I'll pay $15 for my meal , but I will not pay anymore".

She walks away to the other end of the bar where a lady was sitting at the bar (not sure if manager or owner... etc). As she is talking and then adjusting the check - a different waitress walks up and was cleaning off plates and heard my husband and I talking amongst ourselves. At first she seemed really friendly. She asked w.if we were alright and what was wrong. I explained the problems with my food - she's says I'm sure Ashley will comp it for you. I then tell her No she already said she won't comp it entirely but that we had an agreement I'd pay $15 for it.

She's like "okay, I'm glad she's doing that for you, I dont want you guys leaving feeling this way. I responded with "my husband enjoyed his food, my mom enjoyed hers and we'd def be back again and that this particular meal for me was not good and that I had no problem paying $15 but would just not do $30".

All seemed well with her and it made me feel a little better about all of my disappointment! But wait... it gets worse..

Ashley comes back and puts the check down and walks away. I notice she only took off $13.04 and not $15. The manager lady that was lingering nearby and heard me say to my husband she didn't even take $15 off she only took 13.04. The manager lady said I authorized for her to discount your meal by 50%. I said yes I know but 50% of $30.00, she should have taken off $15. The manager lady says nothing and Ashley walks back up and says I discounted your entire check by 15%. I was like no you were supposed to discount my meal $15.00. She takes the check storms over to her "manager" throws the check on the counter to her "manager" and says "I'm not dealing with this". Then storms into the kitchen swing door and disappears. The waitress who was what I thought the nice one to reel us back in says it's only $2.00 in a snotty tone! I'm like you should be telling her that - I'm not paying $17 for that meal and it's not what her manager told her to do. At this point im like whoa. So i told my husband I was going to retrieve Ashleys $15 tip off our table abd I did.Then Ashley comes back out of the kitchen and goes all the way to the end of the bar. As I'm signing the credit card reciept across the entire bar I hear her still going on and on.. I said to my husband- she's still going on down there. The "manager" turns from the register to me and says so nasty "abd so are you". I was like A. No I'm not and B. Even if I was ---- I'm the customer!!!!

Now I would have even paid $22 for the meal if.....Ashley would have gone about the entire ordeal correctly! Inflation is at an all time high for everyone. Everyone is feeling it. My husband and I cook home cooked meals every single night.
