05/23/2023 - NO DINNER BUT A SOAKING INSTEAD
I was looking forward to a steak tonight - Found Route 66 Roadhouse details on their Facebook page and website. Both show they are open today all day till 9pm tonight. We booked a taxi and arrived at 6pm - the whole place was closed up and in complete darkness - sign on door says closed today.
How difficult would it have been for the restaurant to put on their Facebook page or website saying they would be closed today ???
Now we are stuck standing outside in the place in torrential heavy Florida rain waiting on a taxi to take us back home.
Terrible customer interaction and I won't be back
This place has gone down hill very rapidly 👎

My first and last time ever coming here. Should've known to not come here when the parking lot was empty"¦ My food was raw. The fish I ordered was freezing in the middle not cooked at all. The sodas were straight water. The mozzarella sticks didn't stretch and was also freezing. My marinara was ice tomato juice. This restaurant was terrible and I recommend never coming here. I will never come here again and will not allow myself to get that close to food poisoning again.

It has been such a long time since I have had such a miserable time eating out! I am so shocked to say that nothing was enjoyable. The elderly lady who waited on us was so rude and inattentive. Our food was cold (like actually had a chill on it) and heavily lacked flavor. We basically sat the whole meal with empty cups. And I guess my toddler wasn't suppose to eat or have a drink because I had to ask multiple times where his drink and food was, even after initially ordering it when we ordered ours. Don't worry, we still paid $95 for this miserable experience. I regret not causing a scene, but that's not really my style. Upon having time to reflect on the experience, I decided at minimum, it deserved a honest review.
We should have acted on the first red flag: it's in a high tourist part of town and had NO WAIT on a Friday night!!! That's unheard of, and now I understand why.
