Restaurant Description
A Brevard County area landmark, The Shack is famous for serving the freshest seafood, premium steaks, and the finest wines. After over forty years, dozens of hurricanes and thousands of satisfied guests, The Shack still prides itself on having preserved the old Florida riverfront charm and invites you, once again, to become a guest of the Zemkoski family. The view is still majestic, the food still superbly prepared, and the prices are still realistic.

We were sat quickly, no one in the place. We sat for 10 minutes before a waitress came to our table. We ordered iced tea, mine no lemon, his with lemon. Many, many minutes later she returned with two iced teas, both with no lemon. We then sat for 15 minutes before she came back to get our order. We ordered and asked for more tea and the bread that is supposed to be brought to all tables. She did bring the bread. The teas were brought to the table. I looked at my brothers tea and said, "don't drink that". The lemon was rotten and oozing. It was disgusting. When our food arrived my fries looked very dark brown. They were not over cooked, but cooked in very old oil. I cooked my way thru college. The fish also had a bad taste, I suspect due to the oil. For a pricy place the service and food was terrible. Do not eat here!!!!

Ate there with friends the other day. It was busy, as expected on a Sunday afternoon.
The plexiglass panels were up on the patio but don't go to the floor at the north end. They do at the south end?! This creates a very cold draft. When we asked if a heater could be moved to our freezing table we were told they were out of propane. Food was good but with no presentation. For the prices charged, they can (and HAVE DONE) do better. Men's room urinal is moldy a d falling off the wall. If a restaurant is charging $44 for rack if lamb, they cannot have this!!
