05/21/2013 - Service is Killing this Business!
We have been long time patrons of Slyce - in fact, we stop in weekly and have since they opened - sadly, that will no longer be the case. Why? Recently the once excellent service has gone from mediocre to downright bad. The last straw was when our server literally removed all the condiments, handed us a check, boxed up the pizza (which we were STILL EATING) and removed the plates...literally as my husband was putting a bit in his mouth! We didn't even get an opportunity to drink our refill. Apparently a shift change was taking place...whatever the reason, this once excellent little bistro is suffering from bad service. Oh, lest you think it was due to being overly busy...only 3 tables were in use. Worst of all, when I mentioned the problem to staff via FB, my messages were simply removed. Fortunately there are other options available but it is a shame as we have been long-term, very regular clients.
05/21/2013 - Updated Review
So, the owners of Slyce apparently saw the negative review and reached out to make contact and follow-up. As long term patrons, we are happy to encounter small business owners that take pride in their establishment. Hopefully the problems with service will be resolved soon as it is a delightful little establishment.

I am part owner in Slyce. While there was a misunderstanding with this patron's coupon, the following is a copy of my response when she brought this to my attention:
"Hi Pat. I am soooo sorry that you had an unpleasant experience with us. As hard as we try, like any restaurant, now and then we make mistakes. You are right about the My Perks coupon. We though we had set it up so that it was dine-in only but after reading this, we checked and it's not on there. I also want to apologize that you found your pizza unacceptable. The summer season is very slow for restaurants and thus we all cut our staffs to survive. But last night was very busy for some reason and that may have caused a few problems. Again, I apologize! Our goal is to ALWAYS give a good value to our customers. We want to offer great food at a reasonable price. And we want to work this out with you. Please visit us again and remind the staff of what happened. We'll honor the coupon for you and we'll make sure that it gets changed to dine-in only in the future. We'll also offer you a free pizza to replace the one you found unacceptable. I'm sure that the result will be better this time. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience. As hard as we try for perfection, we're still human. We'd like a second chance to have your business!"
YOU DECIDE! But get both sides of the story first!
