I found this amazing breakfast spot in Port Orange with fantastic food and friendly staff. The omelettes are huge and delicious, especially the everything omelette. It's a cozy diner where locals hang out, but tourists are welcome too. If you're in the area, definitely give it a try!

I have been going to Mel's for years now and have brought friends there; however, today when I went I could not believe how dirty the floors were -- you could literally scrape the dirt up. I agree with the latest review that I just read. I also witnessed unclean practices being made. I always loved the place but I will hesitate going back again. This is too bad as I had always loved this place.

We love Mel's. It's our 'go to" breakfast place and has now become our Friday night choice also.
Great home cooked food and wonderful, friendly service.
