I love their food when they get my to go order right .. oh wait . They never have gotten it right !
But , that being said .. eating in there has always been great ..
I’ve ordered mushroom Swiss burger to go w/ no onions .. ( not sure why a mushroom Swiss burger would even come with onions but theirs does )
So I ordered the burger both times now without onions as I have a slight allergy to onions . . My wife works in Lakeland from time to time and when she’s on her way home I ask her to stop and get our dinner ..
This is the 2nd time that she drove the 28 miles home from there only to find out that my burger has onions on it once again !!
I can’t eat it , I certainly am not going to drive the 28 miles back to get another one made .. so what do I do this time ?
I call .. the guy who answers the phone says .. oh , sorry about that !!
Not .. could we make you another one ( at that time he doesn’t know that I live 28 miles away ... or does he ? )
He doesn’t say, I’m sorry , let me get your name and I’ll make sure you will have one here next time made right at no charge !!
Nope .. nothing but .. sorry about that !
No it’s me who’s sorry .. sorry I won’t be eating there again , or recommending you to everyone that I know who travels to trough there .. I’m sorry that as hood as your food is ( while eating in ) I won’t enjoy it ever again !!
I can understand making mistakes.. but this time my wife stressed on the phone before she picked it up .. NO ONIONS on the mush room burger..,
I don’t blame my wife for not checking ..
she’s worked all damn day long and is beat .. she left the house at 6:30 this morn and just walked in at 1/4 to 7 ..
and she’s almost 69 yrs old .. that’s a long day for anyone ..
So good red top pit stop ..
I’ll miss ya .. but I won’t miss the onions on my burger or the nonchalant why it wasn’t handled when I called to complain .

Tomorrow we’re driving over to Orlando & we’re excited to stop here for breakfast. We stopped once on our way home from WDW for dinner and in just a few words...OMGosh! Amazing food, great service and just an all around great establishment. If you’re in the area, or even if you’re not...THIS PLACE IS WORTH THE DRIVE!!!

I was very impressed with this restaurant being so far out of town service and food were outstanding. I highly reccomend the Western Omelette and The Red Top Burgers

Well went there today and ordered a half biscuit and gravy and a milk , also a breakfast sandwich consisting of egg cheese and sausage on white toast and a side order of bacon... Didn't think much of it at the time but after some thought couldn't understand how it was over $18 dollars. looked up menu and didn't add up ??? MISTAKE ???
