Discriminates against children
Super ridiculous that my 13 year old son cannot go to the garden to eat our pies after 5:00 p.m . Used to enjoy this place, but not coming ever again. Lost a few customers from my part. For Gods sake it’s a Key lime pie place, not a dam bar. Super discriminating against children…shame on you Blonde Giraffe!

Shameful treatment of children at this business. My grandson, 8 yrs old, was standing by his dad's side without saying a word or touching anything when a worker came up to him and said "kids like this need to be seated at all times!" I understand the garden is a peaceful setting however, the only non peaceful people were the workers. The reason I gave 2 stars is that the pie is actually good. I use to enjoy this place but something has changed with the way they treat families. I will never come back and highly recommend if you have children no matter how well behaved they are, don't bring them here.

To say our most recent experience was disappointing would be an understatement. Our family has lived in the keys for decades. My husband was born here. We make it down several times a year to visit mom and grandma and we come for pie every single trip. This trip, we had our 1.5 and 3 yr olds with us. We came off season, middle of the week, mid day. There was literally one other car in the parking lot. Our kids were happily jabbering but holding my hands, not running around, not yelling, just excited for their dessert. I asked my husband to order our pie while I took the kids outside to get a seat. As we moved to the door, the woman who had been at the register, instead of taking the order from my husband, came around the counter, stood between my kids and I and the door to the outdoor space, blocking us from going out, and stated it was a serenity garden. No one was being loud, running, or misbehaving. It was also, with the exception of one other car of people, completely empty.
I understand asking kids to behave, but they denied us access to the seating area in their otherwise empty establishment just because our kids were with us.
This establishment is not family friendly regardless of how well behaved your children are. If you have children, or grandchildren, or just generally feel that kids should be allowed to eat pie, just keep driving.

Discovered key lime pie in 1958 (or so) when my family traveled to the keys. My mother tried to duplicate the pie using Eagle Brand Milk, but the memory of that first pie started with me. Today my husband and I wanted to get a lime pie before we left the keys and serendipitously stopped at Blond Giraffe. My memory was satisfied! Smooth, just the right tartness, light crust, heavenly! To bad it's so far from Texas.

The BEST ever. Bought one every day for the crew.
Now we are ruined for life. Ohio too far for pie.
