My husband and I moved to the south end of Leesburg 15 years ago. We discovered Beef's on our first trip to the grocery store, and decided to stave off our hunger before shopping for food. We both got the O'Brady burger - and we were thrilled that the cheese could be provolone! We ordered the burger exactly how it was described on the menu, and were NOT disappointed. Wonderful! Since then, we have done take out a few times, but usually go inside to eat and chat a little with the servers. They change frequently - I'm not sure if that's good or bad - but we've had some super servers who remembered our drink preferences, as well as what we USUALLY ordered. Over the years, we've tried nearly everything on the menu - and it was all good.
The appetizers are wonderful - the steak nachos are a huge MEAL for two - or it is for us, anyway. Their Buffalo wings are actually Buffalo wings - no breading, just the butter-Frank's hot sauce base.and whatever addition you might want.
This is advertised as a "family sports bar" and as a "live, in person, or not interested" sports person, the myriad of screens showing sporting events all over the world. I haven't seen flocks of kids, but there have been isolated groups of them. Never a problem- either the big screens on the walls or the little screen in their hands - and they are fairly quiet. The place has never been more than an occasional PG rating - it's usually good for all ages. The screen sound is usually off - that makes it tolerable for those of us who aren't into watching that stuff anyway. True sports fans can figure it out on their own anyway. Screens are on all four walls - a few duplicated somewhere so everything "on" can be seen from your seat. Watching the Olympics (summer or winter) is very entertaining, even without the snarky comments from the person holding the mike.
(enough on sports!) We have never ever left Beef's hungry. We have never had room for dessert, so I can't rate that, but everything else is done very well. (they've even brought me the raw broccoli I requested, instead of steamed!) They do their best to please - and this is a great place to stop in if your plans take you pass it, or a special place for a quiet (sometimes) lunch with an old friend or new friends when you first move in here. In our case - it's a mile from our driveway to the parking lot - it's a no-brainer where to go to eat! Open 11 AM to 10 PM - a time for everyone except the breakfast crowd. And there are plenty of those places nearby also!
