review_stars 10/04/2015 - Great Experience!
We showed up at Bella Italia on a busy Friday, they were packed. The Hostess greeted us with a smile and was very pleasant. She found us a nice booth in the back. The server came over right away and took our drink order. This was our first time eating here so we asked the Hostess what she liked. Well she suggested the Chicken Marsala and the Picatta.
I ordered the Marsala and my wife ordered the Picatta. ..WOW..When it came out it was a huge portion. ..and packed with flavor , and the Chicken was tender that all I needed was a fork to cut it. The Garlic bread and the salad were excellent also. This place reminds me of that hometown restaurant where the whole family works and really cares. I later spoke to the hostess again and found out I was right she is one of the owners wife's (Joe) and her oldest son works there too. It's good to know the family element is alive in today's world..not just a bunch of chains with frozen food. We love this place and will be back many more times. Go and eat there and you will love it too.

I have gone to Bella Italia several times in the past few months and have come to know the 2 owners Joe and John. They are 2 of the best guys they really care how I feel about the food, they want everyone to have a good experience. I have not had A bad meal there. The Marsala and Picatta are out of this world. The seafood Ala Bella is too. This is truly a Largo Florida find...see for yourself and you will not be disappointed!!

Great Food , Pizza was flavorful and the sauce was Delicious!
I can't decide on what to pick next, the Picatta or Marsala.
They are the best I have ever tasted.
We are making it our regular weekly stop
Try it. You Can't Go Wrong

I have been coming to this Restaurant for years. We never have had a bad meal. The father has since retired and the Son and his Best Friend have taken over , they have taken the old ways and added a new modern spin to it. The food has an added pop to it , the clean fresh environment adds to the Quality experience. Don't listen to the haters that post bad things. Try it for yourself!!

I have been coming to this restaurant for years. The food is great and the service is fantastic. The owners are great guys , you can tell they care.
The pizza is the best in the area and there cooked food is outrageous.
The large portions leave you plenty of leftovers. Try it once and you will see for yourself.

This place is the best for everything Italian.
From the huge portions of food to the great tasting pizza.
You get what you pay for.
Try it yourself

We have been going to the restaurant for 35 years, they opened in1980. We moved to Hillsborough County in 2001,then we came about 6 times a year, since about a year ago everything change ,hardly any cheese on pizza and a mushy crust, the service with Steven as the waiter he was rude when we walked in.showing us the sign ,wait to be seated .,that we didn't notice ,anyhow NO one was in the restaurant at the time.who cared where we sat ??
We will not return,,so sad they are trying to save a few pennies and losing customers at the same time, mom and dad would be surprised at the way the son is running the restaurant now......don't waste your time and money, you will be disappointed....Sal should come back and help his son run the place the right way..goodbye....

FANTASTIC!!
The food was great, service, and quality excellent !!!
The 2 owners are great guys they really care about the business.
Try the Chicken Marsala ......OMG!!
The Meatballs are out of this world.
This is a must taste for yourself and you decide!!

Before writing this review, I thought about calling to talk to a Manager. I haven't ordered a pizza from Bella Italia in 4 yrs.. So we thought what the heck maybe things have changed, WRONG! We ordered a large cheese pizza that tasted very bland, almost like one of those pizza chains! Well you see that happens when you fail to use a quality sauce and enough of it. It cost 3.00 to make a pizza. Why would you skimp on .20 worth of sauce and lose customers is beyond me. Never ever ever going back, way too many better places to get a REAL Italian pizza that don't skimp.

When I was a kid growing up in Brooklyn NY, one of my best friend's DAD had an Italian "neighborhood restaurant". These were the Mom and Pop places popular with the working class.

You went to this "neighborhood" pizzeria, sub shop and pasta heaven because; You were hungry and past experience told you the food was good; You felt comfortable there in a friendly environment. Portions were big, you felt value, you left "full"; The food was fresh, the place was clean; The aroma was causing your salivary glands into overtime; It was reasonably priced and you felt worth the price. I just described Bella italia.

Great people and great food. I would suggest it to anyone

Have been a customer for 23 years. From high school to becoming a parent (and now they're watching my son grow up!), their pizza & subs are my all-time favorite. Clean, friendly, neighborhood full-menu Italian restaurant in a great shopping plaza (if you can't find it at Colonial Bardmoor Promenade, do you really need it?). I love Bella Italia!
