What is up with Carson’s? Over hour and half wait just to get appetizers meals even longer! While understanding restaurants are having problems staff shortages, what made this even more unacceptable was seeing the owner Carson sitting at the bar chatting with golf cronies and flirting with young women.. instead of maybe walking around to his patrons acknowledging and apologizing for delays!?!
(Basic customer service) Maybe checking in with kitchen to find out what issues/delay causes might be? Instead leaving his wait staff to take the brunt. We actually had a woman from another table asking if this was the norm, she was very frustrated and cashed out after appetizers.
Extremely poor owner Mgmt. Sad to see.

Tavern dip was good, but $11, a bit pricey for the portion size. I got wings that were not good, did not finish them and some French Onion Soup that was just OK, nothing special. Husband got a burger and asked for med/well, came very well but he said it tasked OK. What they have going for them is atmosphere, it is a cut little place. They had live music that was nice... I think a nice place to have a beer and relax, not really a great dinner place.

The food was SO good! We had 3 apps the se ocean bread, tile fish fingers & tavern cheese dip!!!! All amazing!!!! We also had a $20 bottle of champagne... Very good food, great prices! Left a very happy customer... Will definitely return for more. Nice crowd, live music!

Read raving reviews about this place, and rushed right over, hoping for a good meal, but was very disappointed. Things started off with a $7 plastic, made from mix, Margarita, and a $3.50 decent, draft beer. Wife and I then ordered the very average, commercial grade, Bahamian Chowder at $4 a bowl. Next came a vile $11 concoction they called Tavern Dip which consisted of a cup of, what tasted like, white wine flavored mayo with ketchup surrounded by pieces of dried bread and tasteless, greasy under cooked shrimp. We'd read gushing reviews about this dish and were amazed at how bad it was. We also ordered the calamari appetizer, which for $9 was passable. All in all, for $40 not a very good experience, but very typical of the restaurant food quality the American consumer has come to expect and sadly accept.

Phenomenal!!!! Finally a restaurant to go to that has it all. Atmosphere, service, great food and an excellent wine list. I have yet to be disappointed when dining there.

Vacationed in Stuart in Jan of 09. This is a very fun tavern that appeals to all ages. We had a great dinner that was not over-priced at all. The server was very cute and friendly, the screens had a big college football game on, and everyone seemed to really be enjoying themselves. We even met a few locals that made us feel even more at home. Great find in a wonderful town.
