I placed a mobile order and went through the drive thru. When I got to the location I was asked to wait at the speaker and I said ok. As I was waiting there was an accident in the parking lot where a truck ran into a parked vehicle. I thought it would be OK since I already ordered to go ahead and pull forward to allow for the congestion in the parking lot to clear so I drove to the pick up window.
The lady in the pick up window told me a total and then I told her that I had a mobile order and she turned around to look for it. Another lady who I am assuming is a Manager (she was an older lady with over processed blonde hair), began being rude speaking to the associate in a very rude tone saying “that’s because she didn’t speak into the loudspeaker.” Then the same lady was speaking to the associates saying well “this lady just decided she was going to drive up here and that’s why nothing is ready” in a very rude condescending tone. Mind you the whole time this manager lady isn’t speaking to me at all, just where I can hear her with the window open. So I still calmly told her well there was an accident in the parking lot so I pulled forward. She basically ignored me the entire time and just kept passively aggressively saying rude things about me in front of my face where I could hear her to the other associates.
Clearly this lady is irritated at her job or unhappy in life. She signed up for this job and agreed to work here. She has a absolutely no right to speak to people this way whether it be customers or employees. I guarantee you if she spoke to a customer this way her employees are probably working in a nightmare.
I really do hope someone talks to her on how this is not leadership behavior and not a good example to set for employees. Maybe have the if you’re not happy here it’s time to move on conversation. This lady is creating a toxic environment and giving her associates the ok the treat people this way.
