This restaurant offers incredibly authentic Mexican cuisine with delicious dishes like red pork tamales, fried cheese quesadillas, and freshly made tortillas bursting with corn flavor. The friendly service, reasonable prices, and genuine flavors keep me coming back week after week to enjoy a true taste of Mexico in South Florida.

For authentic Mexican cuisine in South Florida, Taquería Dona Raquí©l is a must-visit. The red pork tamales and fried quesadillas are exceptional, especially the tamales available only on weekends, so arriving early is key. The friendly service and homemade flavors make every visit a pleasure, and I always look forward to trying new dishes from their diverse menu.

The most authentic mexican food you will find in all Broward County. My family is from Mexico and we travel all the way from Davie to Pompano everytime we get nostalgic.
Dont miss the Enchiladas, Mole, Sopes, Shrimp Cocktail and Tortas (these are huge but sooooo good). On Sundays you can also find Pozole and Shrimp broth. Oh, and to drink they have such a wide variety, don't miss their natural fresh fruit waters: melon, watermelon, pineapple, lemon, and the traditional tamarind, horchata and jamaica.
However, the area is not the best I wouldn't recommend for you to go for dinner. Keep it as a lunch place only.
The service is Mexican service: always friendly, always nice, always with a smile.
The decoration is not of a fancy restaurant, it's more of a typical mexican diner, the ones you can find in any little town in Mexico.
Don't miss it! It's really worth the drive if you are looking for traditional mexican food.
