Staff was friendly and attentive, that's about the extent of the positive things
about our visit. Having recently relocating back to Fort Wayne we wanted to try the Liberty again, The highly rated "French Onion" soup was overly salty,
We ordered among other things Grilled Cheese sandwich came made of
Texas sized toast with very little cheese, was extremely dry and greasy.
Burgers were good-sized and cooked to order, French fries were good
well seasoned. Iced tea at $2.95 is way overpriced and wasn't offered a refill.
The booth we were seated had the back broken and kept tilting backwards
making it very uncomfortable. With that said, the biggest turn off and the
reason for never returning was when I went to the cashier to pay our bill
I gave her my credit/debt card was given two receipts as I was adding the
"tip" to the transaction I notice a charge "Cust. Ser. Fee" were I asked what
this was for she pointed to a small sign among other clutter behind the
counter nothing that stands out, the charge. Let's just say $42.75 for lunch
for 3 with water only for the adults is not worth any service charge, I have
NEVER been charged a service for paying with a card anywhere!!!
Needless to say never again will we/I very visit The Liberty Diner!!
The Two Stars are for the burgers and service staff!

Little overpriced but good, drinks are overpriced Iced Tea ! Also beware they charge premium to use your debt/charge nowhere does it state that until you check out then when I asked the cashier pointed to a small sign lost among a cluttered items. This the very first time in Fort Wayne I have ever been charged for using a debt/credit card. BEWARE!!!
