I stopped eating at this restaurant after an employee showed me the kitchen while the owner was off. Roaches were everywhere, even on the chicken breast waiting to be served to guest. Food was left in the warmer overnight and was not fresh. he said the owner Elda hates to do the dishes at closing and leaves them overnight for up to 14 hours till she reopens at 11:00 am. He then said they keep the sink full of water to drown the roaches in case they weren't dead from swatting and mashing them with DISHTOWELS. I called the Frederick county health Department and they did an inspection on 1/16/14 and found heavy roach activity along with many dead roaches. They also found equipment, utensils and food contact surfaces heavily soiled from previous use and were ordered to discontinue this practice. They also got busted for dirty dishes stored in the three compartment sink overnight. No soap or paper towels at the hand washing sink. Immediate action was ordered at a high priority. They were ordered to contact a pest control agency and to wash the walls, ceilings and floors to remove food debris. The employee said the only thing safe to eat are the fries because they are frozen and fried. He then said to request paper plates because the dishes are dirty. You can get a copy of this inspection for $1 at the Frederick health Department. It was done on 1/16/14.
