The HUNGRY HUT, Great fresh food and fast! Their chicken strips and salads are the BEST! And if you have nevertried their MILKSHAKES, well you are in for a surprise! I reccommend BOYSENBERRY, my favorite. I read all the reviews, and shame on the guy who is trashing the reputation of the hut! I would be embarrased if my credit card was denied, but this idiot has taken it too far!

My wife got their chicken wrap and after she took one bite and said, "Oh No I think there is something wrong with the chicken". So I tried it and instantly my thoughts were, "Oh damm, I will have to pray I do not get food poisoning"

So I walked to the window and explained that I believe their chicken was bad and the employee instantly called the boss over "Mrs. Linda Sinks" and without asking for our money back or a different item we were told that they do not take refunds....... I thought this was a bit defensive approach to me letting them know that there might be something "wrong" with their chicken (no refund request, remake, or different item... at this point). Instead of being concerned Linda choose to continue to remind me that she is not going to take it back, refund me, or make something different "On the house" which I still have not even asked for.

My intentions were to let her know that she may wish to "check" her chicken and we would like to have a burger instead (no willing to risk the chicken) expecting to pay the difference ($2-3) but instead was meet with an extremely hostile woman clearly in a conditioned response having have had to of given this response quite regularly.

I decided to explain to her that her approach was not the best of business practices as there are 8 people in our party which would "all" hear my experience (showing no concern for “bad” chicken) and more likely she would lose their business for years following,.... all over $0.50 worth of her product??? It just does not make since business wise.

After realizing that the only thing she was able to say out of her mouth was "we do not give refunds" and I was getting nowhere with words, I decided to give her a visual example and opened up the chicken wrap letting the content fall all over her countertop and then handed her the naked tortilla through the windows. She was not please,.... but I did get her attention! With a few angry words from her mouth she pick up the tortilla and cocked her arm back like she was going to throw it at me. She never did, nor did I believe she was capable of it but in the end I left her business and will never visit this place EVER again in my lifetime.

A Side Note - They charge $4.00 for a Hot Chocolate which is made from a Costco bought instant hot chocolate packet.

If you would like a GREAT meal at a normal price just head South down the road about 200' to the Shaver Deli and you will have a completely opposite experience.

We walked in and starting looking at the meats and were offer sample, free of course, to help us decide. The owner offered to make an amazing sounding hot sandwich and if I did not like it was on him! He made the meals and delivered them to our table without asking for a dime. He even made himself a little something to eat, sat near us and chit chatted with us about his business beliefs, future dreams of the business and the current and future expansion plans he has in mind. The owner could not have been any nicer! No really I’m not sure it would have been possible.

Nearing the completion of our meal I thanked him for the wonderful meal and recommendation and asked what I owned and where I could pay. We were told no rush sit relax and if we were still happy when we were down with our meal he had the bill at the register.

The pricing at the Shaver Deli was more than fair... $12 for two sandwiches, fries and drinks........ he will have my business for year to come!
