Delicious!

We called ahead and requested a time to pick up our order. As soon as we pulled up, the food was brought out to us. After a 10 minute drive home, everything was still very hot! Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and excellent! Cannelloni with cream sauce, spinach manicotti with meat sauce, and Gorgonzola pasta with asparagus and walnuts. Very, very good! Highly recommend for a nice meal at home on the island!

We were on our Anniversary get away. Took our children because they needed to get out, too.  Looking for food nearby, we settled on Italian. This was our first and only time eating at Sapori's.

Pros:
1. Meatballs were good!
2. Sauce was ok!
3. The walnut-asparagus in cream sauce meal was inspiring! Will recreate at home.
4. Rolls were yummy!

Cons:
1. The food was WAY over-priced! I mean- it's noodles! Not organic noodles. The cheapest food on earth besides bread!
2. One of our child's meals was missing, but they closed right after we picked up our food, and we were leaving the next day. Overlooked it.
3. You know how you ask for "more parmesan" when you're dining in? They couldn't figure out how to honor our request for extra cheese (it was a "Hmm. What? I dunno.  Let me go ask my Manager," kind of moment, if you can believe it!) except by charhing us *per extra cheese*. They gave us a partially-filled 2 oz to go tiny bit of Kraft parmesan powder per meal & charged us $1 extra EACH! For us, that was $10 extra for parmesan powder!! I couldn't believe any of that!
4. The salads were just not good.
5. Overall, the food was only about 3 stars, service was 2, price?... We would never have been back. They lost our business. But, it fed us.

The food was $166 (with the $10 parmesan powder) for 10 people. 5 or 6 meals were kids meals! And one of those was missing! Do the math! Wanna pay that much for okay pasta?

Why my husband tipped $50 is beyond me! He's too generous as a default. All they did was take our order & box it up, but we were celebrating & he's very nice! $216 on okay pasta is bonkers, but I never would've known unless this had happened.

My husband, going over our bank statement, never saw the charge hit in the week we went. Then, we were charged TWICE!! There have been MANY times in our life, this could have been a huge deal for us. I had to call the restaurant. They didn't call ME. When I told them the error, I got the excuse of them changing over systems & the new server made this error. They would get the new server to refund us.

It's over a month since our visit. Today I finally got a reference number that Sylvia (GM) gave to me, and I need to wait and keep checking my account for the potential refund.

I've talked to Sylvia almost a half a dozen times in that month. Time #1- excuse. Time #2- I had to call back a week later. I got a promise to get a call back *the next day*. Hint: didn't happen. Time #3- finally got a call & "I don't know"s.  Excuses. Blame the new company. That's when I got into the fact that- not only are you THIEVES, thank God we can float another $216 charge, but *we didn't have a good experience to begin with!!!

NOTHING. Not one effort was made to rectify our dissatisfaction. I've *ne*ver* had worse customer care, ever. I was a waitress for 15 years total. I worked in Customer Care in professional capacities! I love helping customers achieve satisfaction! So, Sylvia really started getting on my nerves!

I thought we reached an agreement on call #3 where, to rectify the fact that THEY ARE THIEVES, and we were never satisfied customers, she offered to pay us back for our meal, minus the tip of $50.  I thought this was IN ADDITION to our 2nd $216 charge refund. Fast forward to today, and she called to give me a reference # for a refund transaction, and I grew to understand that the offer of $166 cash (IF & when we make it back to the restaurant- it's quite a drive, and frankly just the OFFER finally appeased me) was OFF THE TABLE because this other refund had been processed, though not hit our bank yet. Her offer of food refund minus tip was *in lieu of* a full refund. I'm gob-smacked. Just in awe!

I tried to school Sylvia in the ART of customer service. She didn't care that we didn't enjoy their food because "It's not my problem that you didn't like our food. Plenty of other people like our food." Listen to that in your mind, in repeat. Make you feel cozy inside? Me, neither! My blood started boiling. Also- It was MY FAULT that they didn't give us one of our meals. "Well why didn't you call and tell me?" Because we were your last customers of the night- hungry, tired, on a short vacay and didn't want to focus on the negative aspects NOR drive over & get more food or whatever! You're blaming me?! WoW.

This conversarion went in circles for 10 minutes until I finally hung up. I have wasted SO MUCH TIME on this mistake of theirs! On this woman and her horrible customer service!

Now, I plan to watch my credit for identity theft. They had our data without charging us for over 2 weeks! I'm also going to look up the legal limit of time an establishment has to hold your info before charging you, and what someone like me- now a HIGHLY dissatisfied, double-charged customer- can do.

For sure, I can let YOU know that they care a heck of a lot more for their parmesan powder than they do for you! Skip it!!!!!
