Every year, I make the trip from the East Coast to East Chicago, Indiana, just to stock up on their incredible tamales, which freeze and reheat perfectly for my family back in Washington DC. The friendly staff always do their best to help, even though language barriers can make communication a bit tricky, and the variety of authentic Mexican dishes-from carnitas to barbacoa and especially the homemade Mexican rice-never disappoints. If you appreciate flavorful, freshly made tamales and traditional Mexican cuisine at great prices, this is the place to stop by early on Sundays before the best items sell out.

Every year, my family and I make the trek from the East Coast to East Chicago, Indiana to stock up on delicious frozen tamales that we bring back to Washington DC. The flavors are so rich and authentic, it's worth the journey. Despite the language barrier at times, the friendly staff always make us feel welcome and satisfied with our purchases. The store offers a wide variety of freshly made tamales, salsas, and other Mexican specialties that never disappoint.
