I have been eating here about 3 times a week for the last two years. When I tell people about a great Thai restaurant in Gainesville, they think I mean "good for Gainesville." But Eat at Thai is extraordinary Thai cuisine for any city. The family run place has excellent service. I love taking people here who have never had Thai food. I always make a convert out of them. If you haven't tried Eat at Thai, you are missing out on one of Gainesville's best restaurants.

Yum! Lunch is an excellent value. Fresh, multiflavored, delicious. Coconut soup was SO good!

Being a "city girl" DC & NY I was surprised to find this excellent Thai restaurant in Gainesville. My children moved there two years ago and we all concur... this is our absolute favorite. Just as good as the best Thai restaurants in DC. A hidden treasure in an out of the way strip mall; well worth the effort to find.

Do you like meat, lots of meat, preferably fried meat slathered in tasteless sweet sauce that came out of a can (hold the vegetables)? Do you not mind if the chicken is a little overcooked, a little chewy even? Do you think that most of those 'Asian' cultures eat food like what you find at the all you can eat buffet (you know, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, Malasian, pretty much all the same stuff, just meat in a sauce maybe with some rice thrown in? Then this is the place for you! Even better if you don't mind paying $20 for a meal that you could get at the mall for $4. Thai food is supposed to be fresh, full of veggies, with light refreshing sauces full of interesting flavors like lemongrass, basil, coconut based curries. You ain't getting it here. Try Buford Highway.

The food is always great no matter what time of day we go. The service is great, friendly and always with a smile. Have told my friends and family and they have all enjoyed the experience as well.

The food is ALWAYS super fresh, tasty, and authentic. I eat here two to four times per week and I am never bored with the food. The owners are the cooks and they are happy to please, even special orders. I have eaten almost
everything on the menu, from appetizers, soups, main courses and desserts. Wow! could be the best in Gainesville. If you are a vegetarian this place is perfect for you, all vegies or tofu is no problem! The soup is a full meal, the lunches are all a real value filling healthy and plenty to eat. I it six-stars!!!!!

Well I've been going to Eat@Thai since they first opened and I just can't get enough. The oweners are super sweet and really know what they are doing. The food is amazing, especially my favorite dish which is the Masaman Curry with Chicken & Beef, MMMMM, even though I have already tried everything on there menu. I rarely have dessert when I go out to eat because I get full fast, but I always have the Mango Sticky Rice or the Fried Bannanas for dessert I just can't help it, HEHEHE. I highly recommend this place its awesome.

I loved this little jewel in Gainesville. THe atmosphere was wonderful, which bright green walls with red accents. The service was very fast and friendly. My friend ordered the Sea Special (deeo fried) which came with scallops, large shrimp, and squid decliciously mingled with vegetables. I ordered Spicy Thai Chicken Basill, which was good, but seemed to lack something. I ordered it "Thai Hot" and found that it actually could have been spicier. The thai iced teas were great, as were the spring roll appetizers and coconut soup. I would DEFINITELY return, in fact, I'm going back today for lunch. Except this time I will try something with Curry.
