Achasta, a semi-private course co-designed by Jack Nicklaus and host to notable qualifiers, offers a challenging layout with scenic views and well-maintained fairways and bunkers, although some tee boxes and greens showed signs of wear and recent aeration. Booking tee times requires a phone call, with weekend afternoon slots available to non-members, and the pace of play during my visit was smooth despite limited staff presence and some dated cart equipment. While the overall experience was enjoyable and the staff friendly, the value felt more aligned with mid-range courses given the condition inconsistencies and limited amenities on the day played.

Achasta is a golf course that reflects the history of the American golf boom, with its roots dating back to 2000. The course, co-designed by Jack Nicklaus, has seen prestigious qualifiers and tournaments over the years. Despite some areas showing signs of wear, the course layout offers scenic views and a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of all levels.
