This was the first time eating here.....my husband took me for a belated birthday dinner & it was actually pretty nice. The food was delicious (especially the caramel cheesecake 🍰) but a little pricey. The atmosphere was nice & our waitress Laney was sweet. So we'll definatley be going back.

I have been eating at Yesterday Caf for over 20 years. Before they came to Greensboro. Over the last year things have gone way down. About a year ago we ordered the fried grouper. When we got the fish is was not cooked thoroughly. We told the owner (?) and she said they had the oil to high and she would see to it. Several months later we went back and again had grouper. We did not realize it was not cooked thoroughly until we had eaten some. This time we got pretty sick and I called the health dept. I was not going back, but my 90 year old friend wanted to go the other day. It had been about 4 months since we had gone, so I said ok. We ordered the grouper (which is great when its cooked). We asked the waitress to make sure it was cooked all the way. When she brought it we cut it down the middle and it was not cooked all the way. We told the waitress and a man came out and asked if we wanted something else. Helen asked could he just finish cooking it. He did not answer that. We were going to order something else and all of a sudden he snatched up the plates and told us he didn't think his restaurant was for us and asked us to leave. I asked to talk to the owner and he said he was the owner. He was not the person I had seen over the years. Before we left, the lady sitting next to me showed me a large piece of grouper she had on her plate that also was not cooked. When I got home I checked the internet and saw the owner was Teri Bragg and I called the restaurant and asked to talk to her. The same man answered the phone and said he was her son. He refused to give her a message to call me about our experience. The food has always been good, even the grouper, until this past year. If this young man, Chris, keeps treating customers the way he treated us I wonder how much longer Yesterday Caf will be there. I did notice their health dept. rating was 88%. Beware of the grouper!
