We've traveled 3 times on a Monday from Atlanta to Madison and ate at this restaurant. Our first visit we were told they had the best Chicken Salad in town. They didn't have any. So we had the Black Angus Burgers. They were ok. We went the second time and again no Chicken Salad so had BA Burgers again they were better. The 3rd time we went for the BA Burgers and they only had one patty and I had the Chicken Salad. BIG MISTAKE!! Hardly any on the bun. One choice of bread for the sandwich and the waitress could care less if we were at the restaurant. I had more bread than Chicken Salad. They do not dressed either the burger or the chicken salad hardly at all. You have to ask for condiments and salt and pepper and everything. It appears that manager doesn't know how to order enough to tide over into the week after the w/e rush I guess. Dinner might be better but doubt we'll make the journey to this 2 star establishment. At least the manager/owner was friendly but he didn't wait on us.

What started out as an excellent dining experience was ruined by bad service. The restaurant was in the middle of getting their liquor license so instead of wine I was treated to a nice Coke how refreshing. Anyway, we ordered calamari as an appetizer and it was wonderful it had some sort of packaged sweet pepper sauce but was light and very flavorful. We the got salads. We were pleasantly surprised when we were offered half portions of salads. We both got wedge salads, these were very tasty, a fresh wedge of lettuce with blue cheese dressing, bacon, onions and tomatoes. Then it was on to dinner. I ordered the special for the evening which was a ribeye with shrimp. The steak was overdone, they had obviously cooked it alongside my wife's entree which was beef rounds on top of potatoes and other vegetables. She ordered hers medium and I ordered mine medium rare but the both came out very light pink in the middle. I will say mine was very tasty despite being so overcooked. Everything was going great until the middle of the dinner. The waitress brought me a diet coke and instead of correcting her I just drank it. When she came for a refill I told her that she had brought me diet last time but I would prefer to have a regular coke. She got an attitude with me and for the rest f the night proceeded to ignore me. We finished our meal and waited at least 15 minutes for her to even acknowledge us. She waited on every table that she had accept ours. When she finally came around I brought this fact to her attention, she got the same attitude and said "Oh I am sorry I am the only one here." I understood that, but when you wait on a table that came in 30 minutes after me, and visit them twice before coming and checking on my table that is just not right. She walked past us quite a few times and even caught eye contact with me and quickly turned away. We also were quite intent on ordering some of their desert but by the time she asked us about it we were out of time. I left her a very decent tip and I will have to think long and hard before I visit this restaurant again. I would like to add that halfway through the dinner I was telling my wife how I was excited to bring people to this restaurant.
