This place is a crap hole

My husband and I have been to Kelly's a few times. This time really disappointed us. My husband ordered steak and had to send it back because it was overcooked. The owner never came to ask why and we waited about and hour and a half before we even got our food. My husband went home without eating anything after that ...........thanks for an awful dinner night. That will be the last time we visit.

The beer is cold and most of the staff is friendly. The food was better, however, under the old owner's. Though the portions are usually very large, it's like have quantity over quality. Anything fried is usually soaked in grease and anything grilled is grilled on the same black greasy flat grill as the hamburger. So you have that.

WE HAVEN'T BEEN IN A WHILE DUE TO THE FACT THAT EVERYTIME WE ORDER SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH IT WHETHER ITS NOT DONE ALL THE WAY OR OVER COOKED ITS ALWAYS SOMETHING DEF BETTER WHEN THE OLD OWNERS HAD IT HOPE SOMETHING CHANGES SOON...

I just want to say that this world has become full of hateful discontent people. What one may not like another may love. If it is so bad why not stay home and be miserable by your pathetic self instead of hurting someone who is actually working for a living. Negativity spreads like wildfire and as they say misery loves company. I say call someone who actually might want to hear your negativity and talk to you go hoarse.

Kelly's tavern is one of the best things to happen in Springfield for awhile, great atmosphere, great food, good people. The wait staff can be ... interesting at times, but are generally a good group of people. After going under new management the restaurant has become quite classy, with cloth napkins pseudo-candles, and coasters(!!!), this may make some uncomfortable, but i find it a great addition to the culinary culture of Springfield, GA.

They are famous for their sandwiches, such as the Prime Minister, and the ever classic Reuben, those aside the entire menu is great and reasonably priced, they also feature various local entertainment on the weekends (Bands, Dinner Theater Groups, Poem Readings, and the like) and bring a decent amount of culture to Springfield.

P.S. The Chicken Caesar Salad is the best in the coastal empire.

In response to "L. Miller".....I can't believe that you think/thought that the former owners did a better job than Ms. Susan....she has done more in 3 months than the former owners did during the short tenure....as for the service and quality....the evergrowing crowd is proof enough....

The worst service I have ever had. I wish the old owners didn't have to sell it! It is just not the same and the bar tenders are the rudest people I have ever met.The last three time's we have been their my food has been burnt had to send it back and I'm just that not hungry for raw chicken.

I ordered the Reuben sandwich which is a favorite out side of Kelly's tavern. When I saw it on the menu I was eager to try it. After taking one bite I fell in love with the sandwich and the establishment. In fact I'm going again to night and I will order the tasteful Ruben again.

My first time there...I ordered a Rueben...It was enormous...I ate a little over half of it...I was venturing into the last half and I noticed something black...I thought it was a seed...I pulled it out and it was a fly...I should have guessed as flies were bugging me the whole time while trying to eat...The waitress apologized and comped the bill..She said they had a lot of flies and that opening the doors in the front and in the back brought them in...She said she knew they needed something to rid of the flies...

I think I had enough there...Flies are not a regular part of my diet...Thanks...

A resturaunt that has a friendly atmosphere, and a pub charm, Kelly's Tavern brings a tradition to a little town. The food has exceptional quality and they bring enjoyment back to eating. The service was up to par, and I never had to call a waitress for refills. The price was not overbearing, but well worth the little extra. After going there, other food establishments will not see me for a long time. They can find me at Kelly's.
