12/11/2009 - Out of Towner
Stumbled into Traditions on a nippy December evening. Beer was good, TVs had the games on, staff was friendly. Dinner was okay except the baked potato needs to be baked a little longer. Compared to a number of rural Georgia towns, this was a happening place. Nice decor and really liked the brick wall. No smoking which is a bonus. A few more draft beer selections would be nice.

This is a nice little place. I say "little' but they actually have a lot of room in the back but it's sort of "banquet hall" style. But the bar has enough room to be a lot of fun. Not always the friendliest staff (some of them won't speak or smile much) but they're usually busy. Good basic food. Reasonable prices. I recommend the prime rib steak, cooked perfectly by a young man named Bryan. His wife, Laura runs the bar and is very nice. They have music here sometimes that is as good as what you would find in Savannah or Atlanta. "Dr. Don" plays requests from the 70's and is very good. I'm not much for Karaoke but they have that occasionally. The only place to hang out in the region, this is definitely the place to go in Baxley.
