Visited for the 1st time yesterday-a birthday
celebration. I arrived earlier than the other
parties attending; a total of 15 were confirm-
ed. Although my name was on the list & I was early I was not invited in nor allowed to
enter. The epoxy floors were super slippery.
The entire inside was mostly black & the li-
ghting dim. When we WERE permitted to enter the area we were seated in was being warmed by & industrial heater (even though I prefer being too warm vs. too cold, it was too much heat for the small area being heated & the heater was not positioned safely. The staff greeters WERE on point & answered questions when asked. Our server (name I didnt note) was a "doll" energetic, polite and did her job well. The initial door greeters however, presented average at best. If it were cold, raining or other, I would not have been happy to sit in my car waiting out in the element- whichbis what I did. Overall a 3
Rating is generous as the experience was
Okay but could have easily been a lot better.
3 can easily slide to 2 & then its down hill.
Customer service, ambience...anything that pleases any if not all of ones 5 senses & fi
nances! Serve a free coke/tea while guest are waiting.Get the "temp", right, & by all means brighten things up a bit, black is not a color but CAN be enhance with more color.

This is my second time at Nouveaux and it is just as wonderful as the first. Service is great, server is friendly and engaging and the food is just what I need. Oh and this Mocktail served in pineapple is everything.

I went to Nouveau restaurant - Jonesboro with two friends on April 2nd and knew nothing about it, but I was pleased to learn it is owned by a black female, who we met and seemed very nice. The seating process was a C rating that needs improvement. The service was C/B rating for it took a little while to get menus once we were seated and an employee said, “oh you don’t have menus yet”, however once our waitress came, she was good. I thought the food was B+, but one of my friends said her food was too salty. Overall, it was pricey and but most importantly, I do believe our bill was “inflated”. Our waitress did not give me an itemized bill, just a total on an i-Pad-like screen. It seemed high but I didn’t want to make an issue, so I just paid it ($173 before tip for 3 cocktails (2 Nouvearitas ($12x2) and 1 Cococrazy ($15), 3 appetizers (spinach dip ($14), buffalo shrimp ($14), and jerk wings ($13), and 2 entrees (lamb chops ($36) and ultimate seafood ($26)). I regret that I did not ask to see an itemize bill and just paid it, but it is a lesson learned for all restaurants… ASK TO SEE AN ITEMIZED BILL!!!
