Went there today with my wife and grandkids? Is it a 5star restaurant? No-But the food was decent- prices were fair- and service was very good. I would / will go back

I must admit I'm surprised at some of the negative comments. I think the Monday wet burrito special is the best in Kent Co. The half price pizza specials are good too. The pizza has always had fresh ingredients and again, I think it's some of the best out there. Don't be deterred by negative comments and check it out yourself.

Best homemade pizza I've had in ages! You can tell they take the time and effort to put out a good pie, and for a reasonable price. I love how Monday through Thursday they're all half off. Definitely beats any chain pizza any day.

I agree - if I could give them no star, I would. We ordered pizzas on Wednesday -- their half off day -- and were NEVER TOLD that this special would not apply if we had our order delivered. No apology, nothing. Vitales Rockford is more interested in taking your money than keeping customers happy.
SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY --- DON'T PATRONIZE VITALES IN ROCKFORD.

I have lived in Rockford almost my entire life, and grew up as a kid getting pizza from Vitale's. Now it's where I order pizza from for my family. We love their service. They are always so pleasant and so nice. Often times when we order they throw in some home-made baked bread that is wonderful. They have the best Taco Pizza of anywhere I've ever eaten and believe me, as a lover of Taco Pizza, I've tried it EVERYWHERE. They pizza is always great. We especially love the Mon-Wed 50% off Pizza deal. We will continue to order from them. They have always gone above and beyond. My husband was out of town one week, and I ordered pizza with the 50% off deal and didn't realize it was only for carry-out and dine-on until after I placed my order- and they still gave me the discount with delivery. (We made sure to leave the delivery driver an extra nice tip). They know how to treat their customers well and keep them coming back. Did I mention the food is great?

well for starters if i could leave less than 1 star i would...the food was horrible and the place was a mess...as my girlfriend put it the decorating looked like they put everything in the restaurant that had no place in their house...makes me sad that the place bares the vitales name because they are tearing the vitales rep. to shreds...salad wasnt good and tasted like it had been sitting for awhile...the other food was either rubbery or seemed as if it was just thrown together with no regard to taste or look...the top of everything they charged almost 2 bucks for a can of arizona rasberry ice tea...ARIZONA i could have walked 20 feet down the road and got a can of the same stuff for 99 cents...4 bucks for 2 arizona's and no refills...horrible horrible horrible...i have more to say but ill just leave it as this place needs chef ramsey...the ONLY reason why this place is still in business is because they sucker people in with the vitales name and the customers pay out of the arse for it...

They should've put a gun in my back and just taken my money instead. It would have been more painless and perhaps psychologically it would have been easier to rationalize to myself. I felt robbed both of time and money. Food lacked any taste or originality even basic seasoning in my wet burrito-perhaps taco season included in the meat would be a start? Up until this I thought a wet burrito was hard to screw up. I was wrong. I'm not a food snob and can handle a greasy spoon-but this place is a trip. It was like eating dinner at my Great Grandmother's house that was turned into a restaurant and never remodeled-complete with religious music in the background and photos of Christ and crucifix's everywhere. I am surprised a place like this in Rockford stays in business with complete lack of environment and even worse food.
