Kicking off the year with a spontaneous stay at the JW Marriott in Grand Rapids turned out to be a real treat, especially with the friendly check-in staff who went out of their way to make me feel welcome, including comping my parking and sending a sweet champagne and dessert surprise. Dining at Marguax was a highlight, where the buffet offered good options despite my gluten restrictions, and the bartender's tips about the downtown skywalks made winter exploring much easier and more enjoyable. The room was comfortable with a great bathroom setup, and while the in-room dining handled gluten-free requests well, more accessible gluten-free menu options would definitely elevate the experience to the next level.

Began my year with a stay at JW Marriott in Grand Rapids, MI for a spontaneous getaway. The check-in staff warmly welcomed me and went above and beyond by comping my self-parking. The room was traditional yet comfortable, with a lovely city view and a bathroom featuring a glass shower and soaking tub. The impeccable customer service across dining, spa, and amenities made me feel truly valued during my stay.
