My partner and I had noticed this area across the river during our walks on the Fox River State Trail. Eventually, we decided to drive over the bridge to check it out. The park appeared spacious with scarce visitors and offered a pleasant view of the river, ample roaming space, and wildlife sightings. Although we were disappointed to see some large trees being cut down, it was uplifting to see new ones being planted. Ashwaubomay is worth a visit if you found Voyageur Park too crowded, as both parks sit along the same river. If I had a choice, I would enhance the greenery, particularly near the water treatment facility. The park's larger pavilion was ideal for a birthday party, offering plenty of activities for kids, including a merry-go-round. The clean bathrooms and spacious pavilion comfortably accommodated everyone when it rained intermittently, but the parking layout can be confusing and the lack of lighting makes it quite dark at night. Additional lighting would be beneficial.
