THEY HAVE LOST MY BUSINESS AND YOU SHOULD NOT GO THERE EITHER!!

The restaurant looked great! I think I Met Bob the owner and he seemed like an okay guy. The employees didn't take the job seriously and I waited for my pizza on top of the oven for 30 minutes while they goofed around while bob was away and they didn't even care and handed me the old pizza. I was sitting right in front of them with my pregnant girlfriend.

On top of all of that, the food was really really bad. The pizza dough was tough and flavorless, I couldn't taste the sauce, but knew it was there, The Garlic knots are I think deep fried in butter after eating half of one i couldn't eat the rest... the nest day i squeezed out about 1/3 cup of butter out of one... gross after not eating my food the next day hoping that it would be better.

I went back to the restaurant and talked to bob again. He told me "that's how they are supposed to be made". Even though I was a paying customer making a formal complaint, he blow me off. I had some of Homeslices garlic knots with me because i could not eat them. Then squeezed the oil out of the knot, back into the the plastic container I brought them in. Even then I was not offered a refund.

He offered to show me how he made the garlic knots. They are pre-made in a tub then next to that tub there is another tub of garlic sauce. they take the garlic knots and dunk them into the sauce absorbing all the oil and fake butter mixture (the owner informed me they do not use butter) then they put them in the oven even further absorbing the oil.

He said that's how, Mario's on Highwoods circle Greensboro (off of new garden in the Lowes food shopping center), makes them. After having a heated discussion about how the garlic knots are not supposed to have 1/3 cup of grease soaked inside the bread he final offered that if I went to Mario's and proved that they didn't make them like that, that then he would give me a refund. I did just that and armed with my smart phone took a video of how exactly they made them. The owner gave them to me for free just to bring back to homeslice and show them they are making an inedible product.

When I returned with fresh delicious garlic knots in hand. I asked him if we could talk in the back office, not to talk about how bad there food was in front of other customers. We proceeded to the back office and I asked him to try them he refused, and told me he just ate. I could appreciate that, so then showed him how there was bread inside the knots not bread absorbed oil. I asked him to make one Garlic knot to compare... he refused.

A woman walked into the Homeslice, part owner, Bob informed me, "talk to her about it you'll be kicked out of here in a second". I took his advise and explained to her what was going on. I asked if we could talk about the matter in the office seeing that there were more customer coming in. She refused and was very rude. She and bob informed me if I don't like there food that I could find somewhere else to eat.

She was trying hard to be polite but was as arrogant as Bob, she asked what I wanted, I informed her that when I go to a restaurant that I expect for good food I can eat. She nodded and and with a angry undertone said okay while rolling her eyes. then went to inform me how Everyone loves there garlic knots... even though a informed her that on yelp a customer complained about them, and I was standing in front of her as a customer telling her they are inedible.

While talking to Bobs business partner, bob came from the back, and had one of his garlic knots in hand and got in my face and took a bite, and said I love them. While I saw grease squirt into his mouth... I thought it was very unprofessional that he would do such a thing infront of guest of his restaurant. He only took half of a bite and didn't eat the rest. I think because he knew that the knots were gross.

Then Bob went to the register and took out four dollars and slapped it on the counter and told me to leave. I told him I wanted a refund for my whole order, because there pizza was substandard too. They said I have to provide a receipt to do that so, I proceeded back home and am doing that and writing this review.

All I want is something I can eat, and Homeslice is to arrogant to admit they are wrong.

THEY HAVE LOST MY BUSINESS AND YOU SHOULD NOT GO THERE EITHER!!

***UPDATE***

I had to wait for my girlfriend because she had purchased the order. She told me that she didn't get a receipt, because the employee asked if she wanted it and she refused, but was also so dissatisfied that she would show the transaction on her Banking app. to get the full refund.

When we arrived at Homeslice, and showed the proof of purchase Bob refused to pay the full refund. and opened the cash register and slapped down another four Dollars. Then threaten to call the Police. I left and never will go back.
