Drove 30 miles to eat and they closed 2 hours early, they said they had not had a customer in an hour and a half, awesome food and service just very disappointed

I've been a customer for quite some time. Shady's has the best gumbo in town. And the food is generally, though not "consistently," very good. The chance that I'm going to get it when "the getting is good" is the only reason I continue to order from them. When I do order, I now always make it a to go order, because the service there is almost always bad. It does have nice decor, but it's not nice enough to sit through the regularly and ridiculously bad service in order to get to their tasty delights. My advice: if you are going to get something from Shady's, make it to go.
