Driving my friend home after Zumba, we made a quick detour to Napoleon Bakery for her favorite chantilly cake, a nostalgic treat I resisted despite the temptation. The atmosphere buzzed with the comforting aroma of pastries, and as we ordered our indulgences, I couldn't help but feel a pang of longing for those sweet moments amidst the rising uncertainty in the world.
