On my way to Salt Pond, I grabbed a $5 Caesar salad with chopped romaine that was an incredible value compared to other Kauai eateries, enjoyed cinnamon snax with simple ingredients, loved the flaky and buttery ube-filled mini pies, savored the delicious malasadas and pineapple fritters that were perfectly balanced in sweetness, appreciated the friendly and quick service at this clean bakery and mini mart offering a great variety of authentic Hawaiian and Filipino pastries along with Filipino groceries, and found the overall experience-complete with fresh drip coffee and ample parking-both convenient and satisfying for fueling up before hikes or exploring the island.
