After seeing this restaurant featured on a Buzzfeed Worth It video, I made it a point to visit during my first trip to Hawaii and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and the flavorful dishes like the crab cakes and mochi crusted Kona kampachi. The ambiance strikes a nice balance between casual and upscale, with attentive service that made the experience even better, and sharing a variety of appetizers definitely enhanced the meal. Despite a somewhat tricky entrance and a few stairs to climb, the food's well-balanced seasoning and inventive menu left a memorable impression, especially the desserts and the MW candy bar created by a James Beard award-winning pastry chef.
