The fried chicken here reminds me of the original Frenchy's I used to love in the early 2000s, with affordable prices and tasty daily specials. The drive-thru moves quickly, and the chicken and fries combo is exactly what I usually crave, though the customer service could definitely be friendlier. While the location could use a serious update, the flavorful chicken and refreshing fruit punch keep me coming back despite the atmosphere and attitude challenges.

My preferred spot for delicious fried chicken in Houston currently is this no-frills joint. Opt for their drive-thru service and stick to ordering their flavorful chicken and crispy fries as other menu items may not be available. Despite the need for a makeover and some improvements in customer service, the affordability and daily specials make it worth a visit for a nostalgic taste reminiscent of the original Frenchy's experience. Give it a try and indulge in their tasty chicken and fruit punch, but be prepared for a place that could use a fresh touch and friendlier service.
