I was eager to try Nigerian cuisine after watching Padma Lakshmi's show featuring Safari, tucked away in a modest strip mall near Houston. The restaurant's unassuming location only added to its charm, and we were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome we received upon arrival. Our waitress guided us through the menu, recommending dishes like egusi with fufu and a flavorful tomato-based soup, all of which left us wanting to explore more of Safari's offerings in the future. The service was excellent, and the food was a delightful introduction to West African flavors that I can't wait to experience again.
